LATITUD 0º ECUADOR

Ecuador  is a country in northwestern South America. It has the highest concentrations of species per square kilometer with human communities of great cultural diversity. Ecuador's natural ecosystems, however, are facing enormous threats, including one of the highest rates of deforestation in Latin America. Also, their communities are affected by changes in global markets, mismanagement of natural resources and the few alternatives for sustainable development.

Our impact in Ecuador

In a country like Ecuador, poverty is one of the greatest challenges for conservation; if we don't deal with poverty people will simply try to use all the available natural resources to make a living. Ecuafriendly, LLC is a company created from the need to provide economic alternatives to local communities as a conservation tool. We offer high quality products, characterized by being in harmony with the environment and by fairly compensating the artisans who make them so they won't feel the need to extract the forests but the need to keep them!

Poverty reduction

Our artisans are mainly local natives from the 3 regions of Ecuador (coast, Andes mountains and the jungle), their beautiful work is paid fairly and it focuses particularly on the promotion of social entrepreneurship in order to provide their families with the means and ways to support themselves and contribute to the community.

Culture valuation

Ecuafriendly works with local producers, especially with groups of indigenous women, who are among the most vulnerable groups in the country and who are paradoxically the guardians of flora and fauna.

Conservation

Our products pass quality control checks, both in their preparation and in the use of materials.

Sustainability

Guaranteeing the balance between economic growth, care for the environment and social well-being in each production step of our products.
